Sport Shooters OTS is a one-man business run by Jeroen Hogema in Achterveld, The Netherlands.

Long time ago, Jeroen studied Electrical Engineering at Twente University.  In those years he joined “Lichtgeraakt, S.V.": the student sport shooting club at the university, where air rifle and air pistol were practiced.

Later on, in this professional life, Jeroen has been working in Human Factors. This meant dealing with a mixture of human performance and behaviour, technology and statistics. Meanwhile he remained active as an air rifle shooter. As such, he came into contact with many of the Dutch top air rifle shooters and their trainers/coaches. In conversations with them, it became apparent that there is a need for products that help a competition shooter to improve their postural balance. With his professional background and domain knowledge of shooting sports, Jeroen could not resist the temptation of developing that.

After some brainstorming and proof-of-concept work, Jeroen developed a first fully functional system, that provided real-time audio feedback on postural stability of a sport shooter. One version of this system was built in a project for the Dutch Royal Netherlands Shooting Sport Association (KNSA) and their trainer/coach. This platform is still being used by the team. After that, under the name of Sport Shooters OTS, a thorough re-design and many improvements were carried out. All of this resulted in the  current BASE System.
